How I engage
How the work is structured
This page is about shape: how engagements start, what the cadence looks like, and how to tell which structure fits. The capability list is on the What I Do page.
How engagements start
Most begin with a single question. What is holding this practice back, or what would it take to reach the next stage. The first conversation is free and carries no obligation. If the fit is right I will tell you how I would approach it. If it is not, I will tell you that too, and usually point you somewhere better.
Choosing a structure
Choose Retained Advisory if the challenge is ongoing rather than contained, and you want one partner who knows the organization well enough to be useful on short notice.
Choose Fractional Executive Leadership if the organization needs executive capability in the room, with accountability for outcomes, at less than a full time appointment.
Choose Board and Advisory if the need is governance level, whether that is a major strategic decision, a transaction, succession, or maturing how the organization governs itself.
Not sure? Describe the situation and I will recommend a structure, including the option that costs you nothing.
Retained Advisory
Long term strategic partnership.
This is the core of how I do my best work. Rather than delivering a report and leaving, I stay in the relationship, build real understanding of the organization, and show up through the decisions that shape outcomes. Most of my strongest results began as something specific and grew into something sustained. Cadence, scope, and term are set to the organization.
Fractional Executive Leadership
Executive capability without the full time hire.
Some organizations need executive thinking embedded in the team but are not ready for a full time CMO or COO. I step into that role at the depth and cadence that fits, in the room, leading the work, accountable for results. The engagement scales as the organization grows.
Board and Advisory
Governance level contribution.
Healthcare governance asks a board to hold clinical accountability, regulatory environment, financial performance, and strategy at once. I serve where bridging those is the gap, whether the organization is facing a significant transaction, planning succession, or professionalizing how it governs itself.
Tell me where you are.
